I began my passion for the written word at just a wee three years old, when to my aunt’s shock and surprise, I started reading the local newspaper out loud.

In high school, I wrote for the Norview High School literary magazine in my hometown of Norfolk, Virginia. My English teacher (who is also quite a talented poet) was my hero. During those formative years, I had several pieces published in the local newspaper (like the one you see on your left).

After graduating with honors, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in print journalism, but entered the workforce with a focus on fiber/telecom shortly afterward. Sadly, I never got to fully realize my writing dreams. However, the itch to write constantly drew me back in and over time, I made connections and gained momentum until I finally got the opportunity to work for and with a wide range of clients.

Today, my strong suits are home improvement, real estate, and home interior design/décor with a splash of fashion and personal finance thrown in for good measure. I’ve written over 45,000 product descriptions for Hayneedle.com alone! Other clients I’ve had the pleasure of working for include Zulily, Wayfair, Walmart Canada, fashion designer Johnny Was, Porch.com, CVS Pharmacy, and many others.
